Obscure bit of trivia, but if anyone has read the "Revelation Space" series of novels by Alastair Reynolds, I would be surprised if this song hadn't inspired him when he wrote about the Greenflies, which are self-replicating nanobots that slowly devour worlds.

Thank you for the video, it is a truly gorgeous song by an artist who never got the fame they deserved. It's worth noting that this is the 7" single version b/w "Lord of the Hornets". The album version of these songs, on Hype, have a more polished and electro feel. I prefer this version. Forever yours.

Read the name in Moorcock's King of London. Wasn't impressed by the Deep Fix, but Calvert's song The Green Fly and the Rose is tops as are the visuals.

so glad you like it - I've been asked to make another vid, but need inspiration. doing the background to all the specialist roses was fun and I think there was only one that had not been included...using 'paint' was primitive but worked for those few seconds of film lollotankgirl
