+menestrello68 I just can't thank you enough for uploading this. I've always loved the Ford band and of course Robben with it, but I loved Robben's playing despite the fact that in my opinion he overplayed regularly. This is a huge quantum leap IMHO. Now that he's gone the "less is more" route his tone is simply exquisite and he has the time to shape notes into a deep vocal quality. Just superb.

This is off The Ford Blues Band CD called Fords & Friends in 1996 led by Pat Ford, Robben's great drummer brother. He says in the liner notes that Robben wrote it in 1971, asked if he'd like to play it on this album & the solo was done in one take. Question for Garth-who's playing rhythm? You or Chris Cain or did Robben overdub?
