Can nobody (including Clapton anymore) sing this song correctly?!?!?!? , like the middle break, solo and song structure this classic is set in stone.Maybe you could extend the solo but ya ain't gonna best this timeless beauty.

Takes everything about the original that is good and throws it out the window. An amazing song made cheesy. This is the kind of thing the chaperones start bobbing their heads to.

Takes an exceptional musician to take such an epic song + stamp his mark on it. RF's rhythm guitar playing is sublime and his lead is inspired + fresh. Genius is all...... :)

Takes real talent to stamp your mark on a Cream song - his rhythm playing is awesome and he makes each chord sound perfect...The lead comes from a place only Robben can see.... his own sound so completely

1. The solo doesn't sound like Santana, it sounds like Robben Ford. 2. What would the purpose be of redoing this song, and have a George Harrison sounding solo in it ? I love the fact that Robben mixes Major Pentatonic, Minor Pentatonic and THe Mixolydian Mode in his outro solo, pure Robben Ford phrasing, and I like it way more than the original. My band plays this version over the outdated, stale Cream version. And before I get lambasted, yes, I love Cream and Clapton is one of my favs also.

Too Santana-ish, as mentioned below... each to his own.

Yeah I know what ya mean..that solo is very Santana, it should be more George Harrison, Clapton-and that lovely psychedelic section has the arse taken out of it...good band, wrong song man.

A very nice version of Badge.

I don't get it... The vibe is reminiscent of Gerry Rafferty, and it shouldn't have a solo that sounds like Santana. I guess I'm too old to hear the song slaughtered. Nice playing, good band, but not my thing.

Love it, thanks, much appreciated. To be honest though I like Jeff Healey's version even better!

Robben and I were classmates in school. We were in beginning band class in 5th grade so I have been listening to his music for nearing 50 years. His music has matured during that time like a fine wine. It is smooth with just the right touch of sassyness. This rendition of Badge is great but that doesn't take anything away from Erik, Jack and Ginger's original in my book.

.. i like very much them also, but Robben Ford has tons of swing and blues feel inside his solos together with a wonderful voice that is better and better than years ago..

... yeah fresh sounds, drums, guitars and everything... specially if you think this was made only 40 YEARS LATER... but Robben is one of the best electric guitar player in the world... i love him!
