Orion, I respect your opinion and while you are correct about the way we can interpret music, no one is reading in to this song. We are just pointing out that the writers of this piece expressly stated in a few separate interviews, and on the albums jacket, that this song is indeed written for & dedicated to Rob Halford's Mother. Sorry if some of us are sticklers for the truth, even on something as "silly" as this. I just appreciate when things are presented in the correct fashion.

That is true. Both Rob Halford himself and Roy Z have said that this song was written by Rob about his mum. It's not a love song. I remember when talking about the song in Terrorizer magazine a few years back, Rob said that he does love women, he just isn't attracted to them in a sexual or romantic way. I think he was answering a question from the interviewer who initially had wrongly assumed that "She" was a romantic love song. In the same interview he confirmed it was written for his mother.

Hi. While I thank you for the video, because , of course, Halford IS the Metal God. I would just like to point out on thing. This song, though it does indeed sound like a love song, is in fact written for and dedicated to his Mother. If you read the lyrics it does stand out. "She sang to me before I breathed. Alive inside she gave me life." Describing a child in it's mother's womb. If you read interviews and other articles Halford does plainly state this. Thank you though.
