You are kind of right Spector. Technically, the group of Rob, Noah, Kalel, and Lester are not the original lineup, simply the best and longest lived. We also do not know that it will be heavier, but it is a good assumption. I personally hope so, because Confessions was extremely generic. There were multiple factors for Mike and Lester's departures, only partly having to do with children and family. I'm just glad they are coming back. They were my favorite band when I was a teenager.

Let me clarify things for people who don't know what a line up is. All original band members are back in Pillar and they will be releasing a new album in 2013 called "The Storm Is Coming" or so it is suspected to be called that. So if you guys are fans of Pillar's original music from the early 2000's then you are in for a treat. Unfortunately Rob did not release this song on a album and was available on the Pillar website as a free download.. Looking forward for the new album. :)

Actually Rob is still in Pillar and Lester came back to the group and Lester came back to the band they are scheduled for a new album called "The Storm Is Coming" with the original line up from the Fireproof album. Their are no new producers they are the same band just better now. They have evolved from where they were and having the replacement musicians changed their style. They are back to their harder and heavy stuff. Lester had twins is why the drummer from The Letter Black filled in.

Their drummer went to The Letter Black and they couldn't find someone to replace him. That's why they haven't done anything since 2009 when Confessions came out. And I never said that Rob can't sing. He has an awesomely unique voice! I really like him and his voice. I was just pointing out that he sounded different because he probably has a different producer

He's not in Pillar anymore, so he's got different producers. He could be the producer. Either way, he doesn't have the professional one he had before. Good producers can make you sound better than you actually are. Prime exampe: Joy Williams!!

Why couldn't Ben del Shrieve have done something like this instead of blues? I mean, I really enjoy blues but...he was so good at rock music. Good stuff, Rob.

I am glad he is keeping the rock edge as well. I never understand why some rock band frontmen prefer to do a solo pop record instead of rock.
