One of those rare and totally underrated bands... thank you for presenting this great discovery. Irving Kaufman is doing one of his truly excellent vocals here! The pictures are wonderful too.

@Trombonology I know Whiteman's verison but I think, this rendition contain more of something you're just writiing about: something "sunny and nostalgic".I was only once in Ohio and it was a turn of Autumn and winter. A sunny day suddenly turned in the afternoon into a wintery snow blizzard just when we were on a motorway near Akron. That's my memory of Ohio in the snow, 20 years ago : -)

@HarborGuy There's a beautiful poem of Thomas Merton "Ohio River". I had it in my mind all time when preparing this video. Next time I'll find another "Ohio tune", I must remember to include Toledo in it! Thank you :-)

Born and raise in Ohio left and now returned after 40 some odd years. Great photos. None of Toledo tho. Thank you for posting............

What a joy! I had Whiteman's version, but not this one. Such an ambient pairing of sunny, nostalgic record and highly evocative images. I was transported!

@bill3murr Thank you Bill! And - oh, how I love those Columbias from late 1920s! They have nothing equal in that time. And imagine, what quality of sound engineers they must have had!
