Nothing to do with Sha Na Na. This isnt the original recording. You may think it is because perhaps this is the first or only version you heard, but it isnt the first version by the Rivingtons.

You're the dumbass. This is the Rivingtons but it isnt their original version. Jaemel 1 is right. I have the original single from its ORIGINAL release (I was in junior high at the time) and the original is faster than this.

If you hear the ORIGINAL recording that The Rivingtons did of this classic then I think you will change your mind. Even Bowser has said many times that the Rivington's ORIGINAL recording is sheer perfection. The problem is that The Rivingtons did at least three recordings of this song, so not many folks born after 1960 have heard their awesome original version. (cont.)

There is-to my knowledge-only TWO postings here on Youtube of the ORIGINAL recording of this classic, and mine is one of them. The Rivingtons recorded this classic at least three times that I know of, but only on their first, original recording did they get it PERFECT.
