Yeah I read that version too. then, i saw a video of the band. i think it was on Myx. and apparently this Batangas-Balisong version is "accurate" they even teased Rico because of the lyrics "your face lights up the sky on the highway". it seemed like the lyrics was written because as they were on the van/car where Rico Blanco was writing the song a billboard of KC was right there (though the name was never mentioned but it was somewhat implied, along with the billboard)

From what I've read somewhere here in YouTube, this was written by Rico for KC as a pasalubong. Rico was headed for Batangas and KC asked him for a balisong (the knife). Apparently, he wasn't able to get any so he made her a song entitled Balisong. Dunno if it's true but I think it's sweet.
