i listened to this album nearly every day in 1989 -1990 fantastic band!! saw them in the halt bar in glasgow, think its changed names now!!! so many memories thanks for the music

I will now show my ignorance by saying that I actually thought the Detectives had split as a duo a while ago and were no longer touring. Shows what I know. As for Mr Rea's comment, spot on.

grew up with these guys, my dad does backing guitar in alot of they`re songs and gigs.. Maffy.. martin mathieson.. Great band.. very under-rated in my opinion

Fantastic song from a criminally underrated duo. Inspired by Roddy Frame I would think but very good in their own right. Good post.
