Correct me if I'm wrong,Didn't they do another record after this one that was really mellow/chill? I think that is probably what got them the "emo" label. But yeah, these lyrics carry a different kind of emotion that other hardcore bands didn't really throw into their style which is probably why they got called emocore.

@TheStrangeRanger actually emo origonated in washington as hardcore punk and later gained the label. for emotional i mean it sort of makes sence considering his words sound like peotry. listen to the emotion.
