He's playing so fluidly. For 1965?? I don't think Clapton, Beck or Page were playing this smoothly that early.

Stangely, the intro is exactly like Sonics "Strychnine". Is that also from the Munsters theme?

He was playing this and Czardas with Lord Sutch's Savages a couple of years before - saw him in September 1962!

I'm always astonished at how some artists can keep reinventing themselves. How on Earth did Blackmore manage to go from Heinz to *this*, to progressive rock, to very hard rock, then to poppish arena rock, then to medieval / renaissance music? I guess in the same way I can listen to almost all of the incarnations and still enjoy all of them (with the possible exception of post Dio Rainbow).

I love hearing classical standards translated into rock n' roll! This would be great as a surf tune.

To me this sounds like the theme from The Munsters. Anyone else think so? I went back and forth between this video and avideo of The Munsters theme song and there are clear similarities.

@Tijollo You`re right(Clapton is definitely not God)! This is funny, he plays a mastepiece from Norways biggest composer ever, Grieg ! In his early state, he`s able to play classical music in his own style ! Niels
