I'm the 66th "like" -- the age Davy was when he passed.

Man, the energy they had (The Monks and their band) for those shows! You can tell they were reveling in the love the audience was giving them. Too bad they didn't have a third "Believer" song to make a trifecta medley! (Oh, and screw MTV for later pulling out the rug from under them!)

Gotta love Davy's mullet! I saw them on this tour, they were playing San Diego on my 12th birthday, and to say I was excited is an understatement, lol.

I'm so glad our boys had turned their lives around by then. You can tell they were much happier here than in the 60's and had really remade themselves. I hadn't been a die hard fan since the mid 70's when the Monkees were in another round of syndication, but I've since come back and really wish I could have seen their comeback shows. Oh well, thank God for YouTube. And thanks for posting this. I was a little busy in 1986, a soldier and a newlywed stationed in Louisiana, but at least I'll have this.I want my MTV *BACK*!!!!!

the mat not have been a great band but they were a very great group. their influence was HUGE just listen to the punk and new wave groups of the late seventies and early eighties those groups WHERE the monkees original fans grown up their sounds had monkees written all over them

I saw them in concert four times. I saw them in the late 60's annd then took both my kids to see them, one in 1977, and one in 1987... both kids were three when they went. I wish I could have taken my grandson who was three, the year we lost Davy.
