0:19 Eric was so baked in the beginning, he just feel over into his guitars after shaking jason's hand.. they had to cut quickly and start again....

I am obsessed with every note Eric Johnson plays, to me he's the greatest guitarist ever.. I don't know what it is about his playing that effects me like that..

Just for the laymen out there, the MXR compressor isn't close to an LA-2A. LOL If you want an LA-2A, you need to drop the $7,000 for a vintage one that had the photosensitive optics. Technology has come a long way since the 1950s, but it can't pull that off.

Try to imagine a future EJ rig rundown in which Eric describes how much he loves his new Axe-FX and powered speaker cabinets. Just try.

Man, this dude is so uptight and stressed out! lol I have a thing about my pedals. It's not obsessive, but I cannot stand a pedal board that is laid out haphazard and not perfect. I cannot play. If something is not spaced right, is slightly crooked, out of line, whatever, I must fix it. Maybe it is obsessive! And those pedals are old and worn out! The rubber foot pad is coming off the Wah pedal. Rusty, dusty, corroded plugs...I suppose to each his own.

I can relate to that fender being hard to play thing, I started learning guitar about eight months back and played an epiphone pr5 accoustic, then switched to a squier, but it was a bitch, then I stopped, then I got and epiphone les paul, and played that relentlessly from july to october, when I decided I need a legit fender strat to go with my LP, then my collection will be complete. got the strat last weekend but spent a couple weeks adjusting to the shifting between the les paul and strat, cause the neck was narrower on the squier, and I thought the fender would be too, turned out to be just a little flatter than the lespaul I was super used to, so it's not an adjustment except lengthwise.

For Eric's rig rundown, they could've just shown his fingers for 10 seconds. That's where the magic is.

love those old Bill Lawrence cables he has on his board, yes I see the George L's too but the BL's are special... I have a couple from that era (think early 70's late 80's) amazing cables if you can find them.
