I think Ricky Van Shelton does a really good job with this song just as he does with all he sings no other voice like his, although I also like Mel Streets version

It's not hard for me to decide whose version of any song is the best...Ricky has the most incredible voice and has the ability to make you feel the words. Totally underrated. The best male vocalist ever. Like all the others from the 80's and 90's, but RVS always the best.

It is hard to choose between Ricky and Conway on this song. Conway and my late husband looked a lot alike, they both died in their early 50's. It was a tragic day for me. I love them both.
