One of the greatest keyboard moments in rock history and a masterful demonstration on how to use of a lot of keyboards within the short space of six minutes. The MiniMoog section is out of this world, and this whole solo should be studied and learned by all aspiring keyboardist.

Actually it was Keith Emerson who first had success using the Moog Synth. Keith was like the mad scientist innovator, then Rick came along and took it to a different place. Both are definitely prog rock heroes.

Every time I hear this...I cannot believe that I used to be able to play this! The piano part was always my favorite. Though this version is a little different. I played this on a pipe organ once. 20 years away from a keyboard, took its toll. AlI can do now is enjoy the memory and the music. I eventually met Rick Wakeman, shook his hand, looked him in the eye and let him know how much of an inspiration he was to me.

My biggest accomplishment on keyboards was being able to play this! Decades later... nothing. I forgot it all! I played the whole thing on a massive pipe organ once at Converse College, SC. The version I played was a little bit different. It was the one that is on the Yes Songs album. Also...I did get a little lost on what he does in this version at the 5:05 mark. Though the version of which I speak was a little more intense.
