When the artist singing didn't sound like they were spewing the same song out to cover an album. Loved the 80's!

For Throwback Thursday I was thinking how amazing some of the older music videos were. This one, from 1984, has a sci-fi theme and actually holds up pretty well, even by today's standards. It's also one of my favorite motivational songs, about working your butt off for what you want, no matter what it takes. And an awesome dance song. :-) So here's Rick Springfield, and the music video for "Bop 'til You Drop."#RickSpringfield #ThrowbackThursday #ClassicRock #TBT

This video was way before the time it should be. Would be popular today.

Why is he wearing a head-mic since he's lip synching to pre-recorded music!?

Is there a reason why no one has made a lyrical video for this?

This classic Rick Springfield effort from 1984 is actually a lot cooler than Ariana Grande's Break Free video. And all without CGI! Just really well done practical effects. The message of the song and imagery are a lot more effective too, me thinks. But then Ms. Grande isn't wearing an 80s mullet in her video, is she? Oh well. You never know what will go out out of style (or even come back in) in the years to come.

Love Rick, but sounds like it was written for Michael Jackson. Maybe Rod Temperton wrote it.
