I have to agree with many of you. Richie has a better voice than Jon. And Account091027, Richie was a frontman before Bon Jovi came along. He went to different night clubs and had a band called Richie Sambora and friends. Then one night he met Jon at one of those clubs and after the show, Richie told him that he was gonna be his leading guitarist. Then while Bon Jovi was on break he released 2 of his own albums.

@Account091027 i call bullshit on that. go listen to his backing vox on any 80s tour. thats hard as hell. also take into account he was a singer and frontman before jon. and on top of that toured to support his own stuff AND sang a bunch of songs when jon started losing his voice. and hes still doing it with the same range and power. to me 'wouldnt have worked' meaning jon suits his voice more to appeal to the chicks.

Richie has beautiful voice but uses always the same pattern of intense (over)singing the song....but his voice amazingly beautiful fits Jon's voice in perfect (mills of $ wort) combination that we like...Richie is awsome guitarsit n musician in general..but Jon is a frontman that makes mills of people jump n sing :D ...Cops with sunglasses in video...hahahahhahahhahahaha
