If you get a hold of one ASAP pull those junk damn WIMA MKS couplings out of the preamp those damn things just aggravate the already harsh/bland/Ice pick/sterileness etc, I put in some Sozo/mallory150/160s my jaw literally fucking dropped at the change xD so much more smoother/natural.

The GE 6v6 and 6l6 are fucking awesome too but my god they never lasted very long/went gassy, real bummer too, they always reminded me more of a el34 too waaay more noticeable mids etc.

I just noticed with 6v6 being pushed at 420v on the plates/screens, they sound like a pushed mini EL34 almost well the Brimars do anyways as well as the Popes and the HOLY HELL GRAIL Visseaux xD, They don't last long at those voltages though its unfortunate I've red-plated/blew brimars before lol that was sad day :( lol, Ironically though I ran shit out out of RCA and Sylvania grey glass at about 24-25ma at those voltages they lasted about 2-3 weeks and went gassy, wicked sounding though xD

The GEs sound fucking killer in it, as well as in a few AORs I played,popped in a GE 5751 black-plate in V1 or a 12AT7 wing-plate just absolutely ripps. the Mullards are beyond clear/3D but the GEs have a Zing+the clarity I really like, hard to explain, the I63 short plate mullards are superb but they are almost too Hi-fi/clear if that makes any sense? lol, RCA short grey-plates ripp too but they have almost too much low end, well the low end characteristic is most noticeable.
