Before I lay me down to sleep, here's the "Life Lesson" I gleaned today... Always take into conscious account the nature of your connection to someone or something and see it for what it really is as opposed to what you want or like it to be. The end result might surprise you. Or not. I for one will never have any reservations about 'moving on' from something that is either false or negative. As someone somewhere once said, "To thine own self, always be true". 'cause if I am true to me, I'll be true to you. Guaranteed.Ric Ocasek - True To You

The Cars music is so underrated anyway, but this song really is. It sounds like something that would be a massive hit in 1986 or 87 too.

Chris Hughes is a great drummer (certainly Adam Ant thought so), but no better than David Robinson, who has many great moments all thru the Cars albums. Why didn't Ric get him in for this, too? Mini-reunion! The video's much better than I remembered. Has a "spontaneous" feel to it. I don't like Ric pretending to play the solo, but maybe Elliot wasn't available to appear anyway. Wasn't this song released as a single? I seem to remember it got some radio-play as well as MTV playing the video.

Great song with a creative & memorable music video. The Cars and each of the band's talented members always had that knack of pleasing the fans. It's great to hear the late Benjamin Orr on backing vocals along with Elliot Easton and Greg Hawkes contributing making this a very near to The Cars song for sure!!!

With the exception of the drums, this technicly is a Cars song. It features 4 of the 5 Cars.

'This side of paradise' has been one of my favorites ever since I first heard it. Fantastic.
