Such an underrated band (of all time.) I mean, this band has a lot of talent seriously but didn't achieve much success in the mainstream. I think their manager didn't manage them properly. I'm from the Philippnies. Still searching and looking for good music here in youtube and 90's britpop really got me so I went this far to look for brilliant bands of that era.My other favorites are Oasis, Blur, Suede, Pulp, The Stone Roses, The Smiths, Manic Street Preachers, The Verve, Stereophonics, The Sleeper, Radiohead and a lot more british bands from that era are really really great!

seriously, the MOST underated band of the nineties. Self titled album was one of the best I had in my Britpop collection. So melocoly, sad and beautiful. You were amazing lads, thankyou.

@forshorn wow, and there was me thinking people got I-R-O-N-Y. not everyone does, clearly. i suppose if you like a violent mancunian growling into a microphone (nothing wrong with that, it takes all sorts), understanding irony wouldn't come natural

About 6 years on from this, it would seem that Peter Docherty (Libertines/ Babyshambles) would be "inspired" by this track, along with his drug buddy and friend, the Wolfman. The song they collaborated on, "For Lovers", sounds remarkably similar to this. Or they both draw from the same sources, French 1960's Quasi Romantic Serge Gainsbourg influenced stuff and Scott Walker / Walker Brothers.
