The young girl in the video was his wife when she was younger, not another person all together. I thought this video was about a husband reminiscing about who his wife was and the fun they shared versus who she is, now. Now, so prim and proper, she's concerned with work, presenting mature appearances, bill and kids, if they have any. She use to be a care-free spirit who threw inhibitions to the wind, liked to have fun and live in the moment. He misses that person. Perhaps, he realizes he's in love with her younger self and not the person she's become. IF you notice the change in clothing and cinematography. In one shot, it looks fresh and new (modern times) while, older and hazy in another (like it was shot in the 70's). It seems to change time period, suggesting a contrast modern times (the life he has now) versus 10 -20 years ago when his wife was different and they had more fun together.

1. The Video: I think this video is amazing because of the interaction of present and past moments in the memory of this guy. I guess, that young girl was never present in the meeting that night, but he had a flashback to another time in a similar atmosphere when they met. He was as young as her then, when they spent good moments together in a similar meeting with friends one night long ago. Thus, he (in present time) decides to bring back the scenes, and to live them again just as it happened when he was younger. Nevertheless, the bathroom, the lady (who is not his "wife", for they do not live in the same house), as well as the whole atmosphere, are completly different, but also the results: this time the lady never expected to be pulled in the tub and to get soaked, on the contrary to what he expected, she looks upset and perhaps starts wondering "What's wrong with this childish guy?". Still, he keeps the flashback momentum while driving her back to her own home. Conclusion: What a "Nostalgic trance!" 2. The song is amazing for its music and the meaningful desire expressed,while trying not to lose the pasion of the ocasional love that can be found in the track of one's life.

I think it is simple....the girl/desire is the same women. As a devoted family man I know first hand we change & so does our partner. It is easier to see our partner change than it is ourselves & want the young, crazy, exciting person back from years past. If your lucky you can understand that in the moment & combine the two for a much deeper love & appreciation of the life you have created together. Most unfortunately don't & screw up the "plan of life" for themselves & generations to come.....
