This is the Rheostatics performing "Stolen Car" at Vancouver's CBC studios in 1999. The song is on The Nightlines Sessions, and Double Live records. Beautiful guitar work. This is one of the greatest Rheostatics songs ever, and a favorite amongst Rheo's fans. Thank you to www.rheostaticslive.com for making this available.

@houseofchintz Rheostatics ate the drummer. CBC didn't want to air it.

Would it kill you to get a couple of shots of the drummer? Fucking CBC FAIL!

Wow, I cant tell you how frustrating it is to become a fan of a band who is no longer making amazing music. LONG LIVE THE RHEOSTATICS!!!!

I've always been a fan of the rheostatics.. Ever since I can remember the lead player, Martin impressing me with his unorthodox,Neal youngish style.

Martin is Canada's greatest fucking guitar player. Maybe the world's greatest. Haven't heard anyone else shred like he can, and he makes Steinbergers about 500X cooler.

Ford Pier and Martin are magic! That would be a dream band for sure. I had the pleasure of seeing them together for some of Martin's solo shows in 2002.

How come there aren't more videos of this song with Don Kurr on drums??? I didn't find one, not one! I love the Rheos, especially with Don Kurr's drumming.

I'm glad they're going out on their own terms and hadn't simply dissolved into typical bullshit among members, or whatever... I haven't heard (and didn't think to ask him) whether Ford Pier was going to join them, or at least go and see. I understand he is living back in Vancouver now.
