To me the song is about the back and forth of being a follower of Christ. The first thing that clued me to that was when he stated that a young girl wanted to creep and he said I am redeemed see me in week. Or when he said when he starts to believe everything he believes in gets crushed. It's a song for those who fall in love with the world one day and another day back to God... the struggle of the weak flesh and willing spirit. It points to Christ because he recognizes that He won't leave and His love is unconditional though we are not deserving ecspecially when we run from Him to the world.
