Jeff2235... In the 70's, "crossfading" was a big trick with vinyl. The introduction that you talked about was indeed a great part, but even on the digital version, it tags as the end of the previous track. Just the way the tracking works.

This was taken from the original vinyl LP Rainbow's End. It hasn't been chopped!

Glen Kaiser didn't include it on a lark. The point was to let them be heard. It kind of pisses me off that people chop it because they don't get it. Sorry, no offense.

This is a great song, but incomplete. The song contains an introduction of authentic african music, which is wonderful and unique. Where's the rest of it?

It is a pity that the whites are being discriminated now though. More than sixty thousand whites have been killed since apartheid was dismantled. Nearly four thousand white farmers have been murdered, some were brutally tortured before dying. Jobs are reserved for blacks and corruption rape and murder is rampant. A rape every 27 seconds according to CNN. 16 000 murders per year and these crimes are mostly black on black. Anarchy rules and the good people suffer.

"Liberal southern rock"? Are u serious? What happened in South Africa and is still happening across the planet is wrong. Not a conservative/liberal issue, its just a right or wrong issue. Try listening to the lyrics next time.

Mind bogglingly powerful. Brings chills to my spine. This used to shake the seats of my Datsun 510 clear back in 1982 when on my way to see Tamar in Chico. It's still just as powerful.

This song kicked ass long before anyone had even heard of Nelson Mandela or any song done later to show apartheid for what it was! Bless the resurrection band! They were fantastic!

From Wikipedia, "...the inclusion of "Afrikaans," the first anti-apartheid song ever released by an American rock band, one full year before Peter Gabriel brought the issue to listeners' attention with "Biko."
