Jesus this is amazing. One of my favorite bands growing up in the twin cities in the late 70s - 80's.Where is the rest of this interview? I would love to see it. Does anyone remember "The Suburbs"? Another great Minneapolis band from the same time period.

I remember drinking BEER with them in their trailer in Birmingham, Alabama during an intermission at Sloss Furnaces. I was some punk kid whom they gave a free beer to, I thought that I had met Elvis that night. Harry below puts it aptly, they were the American Rolling Stones, and Paul Westerberg's lyricism was like Thomas Wolfe having drinks with Bukowski and then playing the telephone game.
