Thanks Jason (jasbigj) for the request

R.E.O./T.W.O. is the second LP released by the Illinois based rock band REO Speedwagon. Under the leadership of guitarist Gary Richrath, this album continued the musical direction set on 1971's R.E.O. Speedwagon with Richrath's own classic compositions carrying the record. R.E.O./T.W.O launched REO on its first national tour and presented a more polished production than the band's debut album.

The album introduced Kevin Cronin as vocalist and contributing song writer to the band, replacing Terry Luttrell. Highlights of the album include Richrath's "Golden Country," a compelling political statement with possibly his finest guitar solo as well as "Like You Do." Both songs, as well as Cronin's "Music Man," have stood the test of time and are frequently part of the band's current set list.

It does sound amazing on vinyl! Used to play it as loud as possible with my floormates at Indiana State University's Hinds Hall in 1975. What a great time for music!

I'm glad people post these songs, but it really pisses me off when people sit here and try to monetize this kind of shit. You don't OWN the song, you have nothing to do with the song, technically speaking uploading it is at least semi-illegal, and yet here people are trying to get ad revenue from posting songs they didn't create. It's not even a video of you covering the song yourself. It's literally just the track from the album. Sorry, but trying to monetize THAT is bullshit.

This song is way under appreciated. One of their best. Man, I miss the days seeing them in concert in the mid 70's in Kalamazoo.

and I would put that first record with Terry Luttrell up there with the best rock and roll ever recorded, EVER. Richrath just tearing it UP. If you haven't yet, check out the videos for "Anti-Establishment Man" and 'Lay Me Down" from a live TV appearance on youtube. Just, outrageously raw, blistering hard rock. and 'Sophisticated Lady" would fit well on "Machine Head".

For those may not know,Kevin also recorded a full album's worth of vocals for the album "Ridin' the Storm Out' but was fired and had his vocals erased, and then rerecorded by Mike Murphy. Mike Murphy's image was pasted over Kevin's on that album's cover as well. God, would LOVE to hear Cronin's original vocal on 'Movin'!!(In my opinion one of his best songs)

This is definitely Kevin. If you ever come across a vinyl copy (Sounds AMAZING on vinyl), there's a pic of the band on the back and Kevin looking a few pounds heavier and with straight hair. It was recorded live, which explains the rougher, more urgent singing. he also wrote a few tunes on the album as well.

This album has a real "Southern Rock" vibe about it--being recorded in Nashville have anything to do with that?

@marcdell That's Kevin. You're mistaken. 1st album Terry, REO2 Kevin. Mike Murphy for Ridin the Storm Out, Lost in a Dream, This Time We Mean it. Then Kevin returns with REO.
