Even though Accelerate was not a big hit like Automatic For The People, Green, Document, or In Time you have to ask yourself "Would those albums be considered great if the were released now, or would they be overshadowed by Lady Ga Ga, 50 Cent, Kate Perry, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Daft Punk, and Miley Ray Cyrus. I believe that in twenty years people will still be buying R.E.M. albums and will still be enjoying Accelerate.

YEARS after the release of the album I still sit down drooling after having clicked the HD button and wait for this great song then go crazy while listening to it. It's so fantastic! The definition of The TONE of Rickenbacker. Look at Bill's Meg-White-like face @ 0:58 :P

This is NOT the famous church, which no longer exist. All that's left of that building is the steeple. This building is part of the UGA Vinson Institute of Government, and is right across the street from the Varsity. Beautiful little chapel. Great band. I was lucky enough to be in/;around Athens from 79-85, and saw R.E.M. numerous times (but not in the church). Memorial Hall, Legion Field, Tyrone's, Piedmont Park. They were, and are, amazing.
