Michael wrote this song for his mom, dad and sister. They had been touring for years and he dearly missed home. Those pronouns are the " Her, Him, Her" when he was in Europe for his family. And staying up late to hear me sing is referring to his parents seeing him on late night television far past their bedtimes.I always thought it was an endearing love song before hearing from the horse's mouth. Also, before knowing, I felt the "love song" was amiss or off somehow. The third person, the pronoun, never fit. Anyway, I hope that made sense. ~It's a beautifully vulnerable song

I was in Macon for this show. At the end when they played After Hours they broke into Word Up by Cameo. I've been trying to find that for years.

Lol....Love seeing this. I was there, went to their hotel afterwards, saw them checking in, and went home. No powerful partying with the band or anything, but loved the moment in time. Thanks for sharing. :)
