I suppose R.E.M. are my favourite band. They certainly were when I was growing up, even though I've barely listened to any of their records in years. Maybe I should take their splitting up as a cue to revisit their mostly superb back catalogue.Pretentiously, this has always been my favourite R.E.M. song. Along with the rather less pretentious Nightswimming. The music snob in me can't bring myself to link to that though.
