These guys invented their style around Chris Reed. A great period of music!

totally wrong, joy division were unique because they did not know what they were doing, i.e, they were not traditional musicians. rlyl played pop songs because they could albeit, in a loud, charged way, the songs are very different.

Yet another great song by RLYL. Must get to see this band again. Chris R still looks the same after all these years! :)

Good song, but Danzig probably does it better, furthermore, often, it seems to me that Gothic, is usually Gothic, when it isnt claiming to be Gothic.

They got better as they went on. This was a big favourite of mine at the time but they did some fantastic stuff later on when they tried to crack USA.

@Fyawnym The Lorries are my favourite band. i don't think the comparison to JD is that far off the mark particularly for the first two albums. I'm sure I'm tempting flames here, but I might go as far as to say that JD might have sounded like the Lorries come '84 had Curtis lived.

I've grown up with goth music all my life and I'm 38 and I've just discovered this band NOW??? All those wasted years....
