Actually hiding in OLD refrigerators causes you to suffocate. As a kid, they were death traps those things. They had latches on them that lock tight and only open from the outside only. They were a genetic selector of intrinsic common sense. I remember coming across an old one as a kid and seeing the latch on the door and having a bad feeling about getting inside. Not the case for so many other unlucky kids. We used to play in miles of old fields with broken down cars and an old fridge or two, and ride around on our bikes all day. We'd never leave one of our friends behind but it would always happen in some strange way. Like maybe the kid was going to hide and jump out and scare someone when they got there, only the latch snapped shut and no one ever came. Or perhaps a kid was walking by himself and it started pouring, just go inside of the old refrigerator, and no ones knows once the door is closed. A long slow death as the oxygen slowly runs out. But, now-days they don't have latches anymore! You can push the door open from the inside!
