Since Josh joined, his guitar volume has been way too low. He's a great guitarist, but during most of the song, he's kind of drowned out by Anthony. Especially during the solo, you can tell that the drums are over shadowing him, when his instrument should be the loudest.8 years ago

i like josh's style because he more or less plays with a bit of frusciante, but his effect work is like fucking johnny greenwood and it makes certain bits of old songs kind of exciting. theres an unpredictability with the sonic landscape he works with, especially during the jams and solos and i find that really exciting.9 years ago

Josh is good. Just not good for the Chilis. They don't have the energy they did with John, he doesn't connect with Flea in the same way, and you can tell by the lack of "communication" during the jam, and Anthony never felt a need to talk during John's solos.9 years ago

Josh is a great guitarist the only problem is with john you just got a feeling that anything could happen every time he played the same song. Josh does improvisation too but it doesent feel as good as John because that is his song he knows how to mess with it.
