seems that most of flea's riffs in first few albums were more technical & of course way more faster than blood sugar to previous albums. i reckon he's have had to make the riffs much more simple for the band's commercial purpose

I honestly prefer Cliff to Jack Irons as a drummer, he's just so slick and funky, Freaky Styley is their funkyest album by far. John Frusciante just never had that sound that Hillel did that made them what they were in the '80s. They're still bloody amazing today and Blood Sugar was their best album so whatever...
