I've heard their live show is absolutely mind-blowing actually. It seems here that they are playing the song in a different key, which is why it sounds unfortunately crappy. Its too bad because the album version is my favorite song on the album. Bands do this a lot live (playing a song in a different key, which throws the song). Also, it sounds like the keys are out of tune. The bassist is singing backup and in the weird key, and the lead singer is singing in the original key.

I was at this show and it rained nonstop. They almost did not finish the set because poweramps were shorting or something. The lead vocal mic was on and off the whole set so I bet they were messing with all kinds of stuff. I also have video of this performance and my camera made it sound bad too. It is much different when you are there. Trust me!!! These guys sound amazing live.
