Sweden was seen as two different groups of people during viking time Svear = The guys who lived in central Sweden and went to the east nad south the most. Götar/goths = People originatin from Gotland who later settled souther Sweden (Götaland for swedish people) and went down and became later known as Visigoths and Ostrogoths.
