whoever said Abhorrence sounds like Krisiun is out of their mind. Krisiun were the kings of brazillian death metal until Rebaelliun's released Annihilation and the entire game of brazillian death change after that. Krisiun are still might but they are subdue by what Annihilation created. There has not been anything like it ever coming out of Brazil.

@Gumbo72203 Yeah... that was a crazy night. They played with Hate eternal and i think Incantation. Tony Lazaro of Vital Remains was there as a spectator (i frequently see him at MA shows). After the show my friends and i just went up on the stage and talked to Derek Roddy and Erik Rutan while they were taking down their shit. I think my girlfriend managed to talk the Incantation guys out of a slice of the pizza they were eating, but that might have been a different show at the same venue.

@lebensraummetal Thats awesome you got to talk to Alex!!!! He's totally right, though. Bands like Suffocation, or Monstrosity...they all share similar thrash-based riffing roots. But when you picture Deicide and Suffocation, they sound nothing alike. Even though their foundation comes from the same place. Abhorrence is incredible though; its a total shame and injustice that they were only able to keep it together for one main album. Just like the band Luciferion from Sweden.

@Gumbo72203 I met Alex at a concert once and asked him what he thought of bands like Abhorrence which sound exactly like Krisiun and he said he approved. Said it was like when Cannibal Corpse was first making an impact in the scene and bands popped up to play the same style. IMO, Abhorrence is about equal in goodness to Krisiun's Apocolyptic Revalations. even the production is nearly identical.
