Ah this song brings back memories. Every morning on cold days my dad would play his cassette of Ray Stevens and play this song in particular like no tomorrow while waiting for the school bus to arrive. Dad was just a big kid, making shotgun gestures and what not along with the lyrics. Got me smiling and laughing every morning before school. Sure do miss him.

My dad (Harold) went along on a evening to try to catch a few .Dad was too drunk to fish and was using my $5.00 fishing lure and he got hung in a tree about 20 foot up. I climbed the tree to get my spinner bait and climbed back in the boat.Harold was having a hard time in that 10 foot aluminum boat and he fell out.Thank God it was only 4 foot deep so he started walking to the bank.My German Shepherd was on the bank watching all the problems we was having .My dog started barking and running around on the shore and took off and ran through the woods and ran to my house barking .My mom had to follow the dog back in the swamp where my dad fell in.Needless to say she was yelling at my dad about the dog coming to alarm her that something was wrong and all my mom did was get my dad's pay check that he had in his wet pants pocket.She left him standing on the bank looking stupid!That was 1975 , my dad passed in 2012 .I wish I could go fishing with him once more.Miss you Dad!
