@spaniard932 No, this is off a Ray Sawyer vinyl album I bought at a flea market, although I know what you mean, I heard it first on an Austin City Limits TV show that Dr. Hook was appearing on, so I guess it could have been.14 years ago

I actually saw the program twice. The second time it was simil-cast on FM and I recorded the soundtrack on casette which I have to this day. Still looking for the solo album.15 years ago

This song was written by Joel Jaffe, Ray's doctor. It was performed with the whole Dr. Hook band on a PBS broadcast sometime in the 1980s, as I recall. Shel Silverstein was also featured in that program.15 years ago
