Ray Conniff - His Orchestra and Singers - Ansiedad video free download
We're celebrating our 200th video upload here at the channel and we're doing it in great musical company ! Here, for all Ray's fans and lovers of good music tout-court is another "Ray Conniff Youtube Première" with Ray's fabulous version of the Venezuelan song "Ansiedad". Composed and published in 1958 by Venezuelan composer José Enrique Sarabia the song soon conquered North America as well. Nat King Cole picked it up while being in Caracas in the late fifties and his Spanish rendition soon became a big hit. The song has been performed by dozens of artists since then and it became "the" best known song of Sarabia (who, by the way, composed more than a 1000 songs).
Here now, from his 1980 album "Exclusivamente Latino" are Ray Conniff and his Orchestra and Singers with "Ansiedad". Enjoy !

@deedraze I would gladly change the credits and/or title of the video but this has meanwhile become impossible (more than 1000 views => YT does not allow any changes anymore). But I'll bear it in mind for eventuel future uploads, because, indeed you are right about this. Sorry for the confusion.13 years ago

Could you please be so kind & do us all a favour? This song is not done by "His Orchestra and Singers". The singers, which were way below average as singers, are "Singers" only when the do lyrics (awfully ;-(...). But when they use their voices as instruments they are called "Chorus" - & as that & only then they (& on no one else!) WERE the famous unique Conniff sound! Please re-check the credentials of your Conniff uploadings, so we can see at first glance what to hear & what to skip... Thanks!13 years ago

@geetarxist Ray Conniff - epic performer & arranger, laying out every note his musicians played on 1200+ recorded songs. It was his orchestra and scores backing early hits of artists like Marty Robbins & Johnny Mathis in the mid '50s. He sold 70 million copies of 101 albums over 45 years & was the most visible face of the easy listening genre, annually touring South America into his 80s! @hcrun We always try to find (and use) "original" images, but, obviously, after 200 videos ......it becomes 'harder and harder' :) (If you would look for "double" images, you sure would find some.........this is probably due to my aging 'memory capacities' which, according to my wife, become more and more obvious - especially, she says, when she asks for my help in the household ;-)) Ooops .......... hope she doesn't read this :-)) !!13 years ago
