I just wanted to share how I have been listening to some of your songs today and I have found great meaning in every single one of the ones I have listened to! I am a very eclectic music listener and singer but have always had a heart for "Country" music. Who can't really put a label on that these days. I never thought I would see the day when "Rap" in country was an okay thing! Anywhoo....I am not sure how much of your song writing you do but there is a LOT of great meaning behind the things you guys sing and whomever is writing the words to the songs you perform in a lot of ways have a ministry. Something tells me it is y'all because when you sing there is conviction on your faces and the way you execute the meaning behind the song and the videos you produce to go with them. I love the way you are not afraid to tackle the hard topics and most of the time give some kind of uplift at the end. I enjoy singing many of your songs and will begin now to pay more attention to the things you guys put out! And your song Skin made me cry because I lost my Dad to cancer after only 16 days from finding out! He was already very sick with a couple of other things but one of them was NOT cancer and even though it was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through there are blessings in everything! My family and I consider ourselves blessed that he didn't have a long and drawn out process of what "Cancer" can put you through! God blessed me in so many ways through this experience with my Dad, I was the last person he was responsive to and the only thing in my head was, and I know with all my heart came straight from the Lord...hymns. I didn't know what else to do so when the Lord sent me song, I sang! I had called the family back to the hospital, the extended family was called, it was a long afternoon. Finally it was just me and Mom and Dad, my Sister had gone home to her family. Mom made me go home and rest. I said my last goodbyes because I knew it would be the last time I would see him alive. He died not even an hour after my leaving. I dream of him in Heaven with my Grampaw and Papaw and his baby brother that died of grief and a heart attack not 6 months after he passed, all their bodies healed and spry waiting for us to make our journey home! Thank you for making music so important and knowing the power behind words! May God Bless!

Back in November 2000, my life was spinning out. Work, relationships, family. We rescued a little 8 week old mutt pup from the streets. At the time we already had 4 other dogs, but there was something about him that just said "keep me." There was something mystical about him that to this day I can't explain. Somehow, he reached down and knew how to "get me". He changed the way I not only looked at mutts (I admit, I was a purebreed snob), but the way I looked at relationships, love, and life.He's over 14 now. Over the course of that time, our bond is as close as anything I've ever had. He's been with me through so many dark times, and plenty of awesome times. He's been my rock, shoulder to cry on, and best friend. There wasn't a thing that could happen that he couldn't fix by simply going for a walk, ever faithfully heeling at my side.Currently he has a neurological problem that's slowly killing off the nerves in his legs & spine. Even with the struggles that he has with barely being able to move his back legs without assistance, he still maintains that love of life. I may have rescued him from the streets and currently help him with his walking, but he continues to save my life.

This song reminds me of one of my best friends who does not know of all the horrible struggles i've faced over the years, he has saved my life more then once even without knowing, he doesn't know that everything he tells me, everything he does for me, every time he has been there for me, every snapchat, It's helped me hang in there, everyday.
