Its tragic that this song isn't on the faith no man ep.. It drops my jaw every time.. Such a shame it wasn't studio recorded.

Great gig, love FAITH NO MORE and they look very young here! Favourite FAITH NO MAN song would be "QUIET IN HEAVEN"

Please help me to clear this. This video is from 1983 but Mike Morris wasn't in the band at that time. When that four played together they called themselves "Sharp Young Men". Am I right?

I wonder if Mike "the man" Morrison drinks heavily while watching youtube.

I gotta agree with everybody who made the Killing Joke comparison. This reeks of Killing Joke! The funny thing is I was half expecting this to be bad when I clicked on this but I was pleasantly surprised. Every era of this band is fantastic.

Yeah, ever since I heard they were known as Faith. No Man in their early days I've had the same doubt... Well, it passed a quite time, but i hope this will answer your (and also's mine) question, take a look on this interview faithnoman. com /m-morris

I'd like to see them tour the Chuck Mosely era line up as Faith No Mike. (Yeah I know)

There's a (new) Facebook page for Faith. No Man, they have been posting a lot of extremely rare photos from the very early days of the band, also pics from every band member, including Bill, Marc Bowen, and even prior to FNM band members, check it out.

I wish we could have gotten a face shot of Gould. I want to know what he looked like back then, lol.

I have an interview in a '91 issue of Bass Mag that confirms this:)

Cool. I always wondered if there was any footage of the original line-up. It's funny, because I've always considered FNM to be an experimental new wave band since that basis never truly vanished from their music. I guess most people don't agree with me though.

They renamed the band as a joke after Mike "the man" Morris left because "the man" was no more... They could've continued the joke as Faith No Mosley, or Faith No Martin, but Spruance would've killed it. I tend to refer to each era of the band as such because each change brought such a different sound to the group. @MrPearlJack, if your dad is Wade Worthington and you also know Mike Morris maybe you could arrange an interview through your channel? I'm sure everyone would be interested...

why did he leave? i stumbled upon this vid a while ago, when there were just two comments. love this raw garage sound, since it really does seem inspired by early Killing Joke, a strain of which survived even during the Mosley era, but was practically eradicated in the Patton era so they could become appealing to mainstream audiences.
