I love how she keeps her femininity flowing. Sometimes female rapper's feel like they have to be hard or look like a guy.Other's feel the need to have to expose themselves and be over sexualized to make it. She reminds me of McLytle forsure.

I think there was a conscious decision to tone down and let Rapsody’s verse shine; no stylized vocals, smooth flow. I still like his verse, but it did a different job than, say, The Blacker The Berry or u. I love this song, the production sounds like a summer day somehow, sweet, slightly woozy, sunny and relaxed. The guitar sounds warm, Kendrick’s rap flows through the beat, backing vocals and trumpets bring the woozy feel, some twinkling piano and that quiet transition between Kendrick’s and Rapsody’s verse, the subtle beat change there! Oh man. I don’t care what none of you say, I love it yo death, but this still ain’t even my favorite one from TPAB.
