My light-skinned manager used to get her tons of shit from darker skinned people, mostly women I think. From what I understand, it was a jealousy thing, but less about getting guys. I'm surprised RC hasn't experienced this in some form, but it's definitely a thing that dark-sinned folk think light-skinned folk have it easier, and resent it. Not just women, either.
