This is probably my all-time favorite Ramones song. Basically a mission statement of what the Ramones were all about: creating authentic rock music about the things that really mattered as an antidote to the all the "noise" out there on the mainstream radio.

I remember so well (sort of) 33 years ago moving from Detroit to Miami FL and desperately seeking out a punk scene. Lo & Behold I found out about WLRN and the weekly program broadcast from there "Radio Free Living Room" and hearing them play this song as there theme song. (I've always been a huge Radio-Head...Had my own show on CJAM-FM) and hearing the Ramones kick out this jam, soon found my checking out the only cool record store around...'Open Books & Records"...getting into a cordial disagreement with the owner Leslie Wimmer, who was one of the hosts of "Radio Free Living Room", about the Ramones...being too poppy or not...How stupid I was at that time to appreciate how KICK-ASS this song really is.
