Had the Ramones been heavyweight boxers, they would been world champs, that hook at 1.13 caught me on chin and dropped me off my chair!

Ramones lyrics don't usually go too deep, but this one always had a real emotional resonance to me...

LOVE THE RAMONES TO DEATH.BUT ALWAYS HAD A WIERD VISION THAT THIS SONG WOULD BE SUNG,VERY LOUDLY BY A HUGE CHORUS,LIKE THE ""MORMON TABERNACLE CHOIR",WITH THE RAMONES MUSIC BLARING WITH IT,THINK OF ALL THOSE VOICES SHOUTING ""I WANTED EVERYTHING"!!!!!!

The guitars on this song are amazing. They're simple, but they sound so heavy, lean and well-produced, while still being melodic and catchy. Johnny Ramone will always be one of my favorite guitarists of all time.

I agree. A lot of people say that the Ramones' best album was either Rocket to Russia or their first one, but Road to Ruin was always my favorite. Not only did it have the best production of the Ramones' first four albums, it was also the loudest, heaviest one, as well as having longer songs, more experimentation and an angrier, more serious mood. :D Road to Ruin is awesome, easily one of the best albums of 1978.

Always loved the heavier, louder and more experimental feel of Road to Ruin. Guitars sound phenomenal on this record!
