in these modern times we live, its easy to put god on the back burner, these songs won't let you forget to keep spiritually connected. i love banjo toe tappin music,it must be the scotch-irish mix in my ancestry,i think they invented this music. i feel sorry for people who don't believe in god,how they can look around at the miracles in this world, and think its a big accident of evolution. there is no way an emotion like love can just evolve, god is love, love is god. like the song says,I'm looking forward to going to a land far away,to my uncloudy days.

There is another verse: O they tell me of a King in His Beauty There. And they tell me that my eyes shall behold,Where He sits on the Throne that is whiter than snow;In the lovely Land of Uncloudy Day.I wish Ralph had included it. Always a problem for entertainers: What to leave in? What to leave out?

We sing this song quite often at my church, four part harmony style, we don't use instruments (Mennonite church) but I love this version. The Willie Nelson version is really good too.

Now THAT is gospel. Love it. I just can't really get into all the contemporary gospel that churches are singing/playing for praise and worship. This gets me where I need to go though. Here's to an old time gospel revival!
