People always say music and photos can tell stories. I say when these two are combined, it can tell a much better story. Sometimes it may even bring out humor and black comedy or expose the dark side of society. And this is my latest creation, "The Streets of London". Inspiration on this comes from the ongoing class struggle in my own country. I hope you enjoy this clip, and please feel free to leave your comments./piras

This was really relevant in its day, the sad thing is it is becoming even more relevant again now! I am 46 a Londoner born and bred and its only in the last two years that I have begun to see real poverty in this country. I always thought we were blessed, we live in a country that could proudly say it is the only complete welfare state in the world! I watch as they dismantle it, as the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. It was only 150 odd yrs ago Dickens was writing novels like Oliver Twist. What changed was a middle class... Back then you were born poor and remained so or you were born wealthy - a gentleman and as such u remained throughout ur life. Then came the middle class and it grew and grew until we were nearly all middle class, upper or lower or whatever but most of us fell into the category. Its all going backwards now, the middle class is shrinking. Don't get me wrong there are more and more super rich but there are more and more and more, super poor. We may well have been the blessed generation, no world war to thin us out, healthcare for all, a basic standard of living for everyone. We are gonna wake up in just a few yrs now I fear and wonder how we let it all slip away! RIP to the Welfare State, to the NHS, to a national conscience. Of course like anything we wont miss it till its gone, by the time we miss it it will be too late to save it and we will fade into history as the generation that had it all and threw it away......... Shame on us! Yee Haa

This song, brought me back to 1991, when I was living homeless in London, in the winter time. I felt in my own flesh how tough is being homeless, and how strong I was to pass through such harsh moments.

It's a shame that there are now more people on the breadline and having to use foodbanks than ever.

When I hear this song it fills me with a sadness about homeless people, and old people who are not wanted because they have outlived there usefulness.
