in actuality it is not a crime. that is, not paying income tax. it has been determined that failure to pay taxes to the irs is not against the constitution, nor are there any laws on the books requiring a u.s. citizen to pay an income tax although i dont recommend you are anyone trying it. the irs may come knocking at your door.

i do recall many yrs ago something the media reported about rakim being arrested for not paying taxes. is this what you are referring to???

Rakim was falsely arrested in 2004, and I would think that the mug shot in the video (it says 1996) is for something minor.

that's nice to know. he is my all time favorite rapper. i am 44 yrs old and i recall the 1st time i saw rakim and eric b. on rap city many yrs ago. i aint no joke was the song. man, i was hooked on rakim from that point forward. his initial video was unique and even his hair style back then was unique. he needs to be in the hall of fame as possibly the greatest lyricist of all time in the hip hop world. i also remember flava flav's dancing in the video. man, that made that video just by itself.

i agree wholeheartedly with dankerFR. thanx for putting this one online. this song is one of his best. i have always and will always admire rakim allah. i listened to him when he first came out and i still listen to his classic stuff from time to time now even though i am 44 now. rakim aka the 18th letter is the man. this song, i wish i had on a cd.
