I believe this incredible song / recording is off "The Buddy Holly" story, sans "Crickets", and was written by the Bryant couple who wrote many of The Everly Brothers' material, IIRC. My older brother and I were huge Holly fans from the late '50s. When my brother died suddenly, this song started running through my heart and most expressed my enormous grief.
