Mother can you see me?

'Cause I'm trying to find myself

As children we set fires

But these fires they burned out

Burned out, Burned out

The city keeps on changing

Now this house is not a home

Our lives keep rearranging

Leaves a chill inside my bones

My bones, My bones

Feels like the cold winds of Montreal

The cold winds of Montreal

This winter can take its toll

But it couldn't take our lives

Brother are you out there?

Are you headed to the sun?

You tied your wings on tightly

But they always come undone

Undone, undone

Feels like the cold winds of Montreal

The cold winds of Montreal

This winter can take its toll

But it couldn't take our lives

Mother can you see me?

'Cause I'm trying to find myself

As children we set fires

But these fires they burned out

Burned out, Burned out

Feels like the cold winds of Montreal

The cold winds of Montreal

This winter can take its toll

But it couldn't take our lives

Finally came across this video! I saw some parts being filmed around Toronto. You wouldn't guess that it was the distillery district until the end! Turned out well!

Yes, I've been to Montreal several times; but I've only been there for one winter. I only remember one night in January at 2:00 a.m. The wind was so cold and piercing, it was particularly painful. After a while, the ears went numb and it didn't really hurt. Yet I think that this song is about something much deeper than how cold the city is.

Just saw this on MuchMore as part of their Top 20. Love this. Reminds me of a David Lynch-ian nightmare.

Best song/video of 2013. I love the use of brass with the rock lines. With the exception of a few artists (the under 18 fads) Canadian music is getting so much more exciting and less mainstream. Keep it up! I love it!

Nice one, Raine. I'm another Montréaler who wrote a song about that cold, cold city. I miss it now, from way DownUnder.

Probably the best video with Raine involved since 4am with OLP. I immediately thought of Ginsberg and 'Howl.' That old time vibe where you go out on the town, meet strangers with stories and getting lost while plagued with paranoia.

I'm speechless. Raine, that was outstanding
